Director of Business Development

Blake Floyd serves as Director of Business Development at Mainspring Recovery. His work in the behavioral health field began in 2019 and has included direct client care, program leadership, and operational experience within the treatment field. Over the past several years, his work has increasingly centered on business development, community outreach, community partnerships, and helping individuals and families access appropriate care. His approach is grounded in servant leadership, compassion, and a commitment to reducing barriers to treatment.

Blake’s background includes program management and counselor for a co-occurring treatment organization with multiple locations, business development for treatment organizations in North Carolina and Virginia, and development consulting for outpatient facilities specializing in trauma-informed care. This combination of program leadership, client-facing experience, and community outreach has shaped his understanding of how important it is to create clear, supportive pathways into high-quality treatment programs.

At Mainspring Recovery, Blake leads the Business Development department, supporting the Community Liaison team, and remains actively involved in field outreach across Virginia. In addition to guiding and supporting his team, he continues to strengthen relationships in the community and serves as a point of support for potential clients, families, and community partners as they navigate treatment options throughout the state. Through his work, Blake strives to support Mainspring Recovery’s mission to deliver the highest quality client care to the communities they serve, while helping connect individuals and families to appropriate resources.

Blake’s leadership style is rooted in empowerment, accountability, consistency, and follow-through. He believes effective leadership means staying close to the work while supporting the people around him. He is motivated by the belief that everyone can recover when they are met with quality care, clear guidance, and a consistent, person-centered approach to treatment.
